Beltane Blessing

Earth turns to face the sun,

Spelling sweetness soon to come.

A warmer breeze now calls your name,

It’s ever new and still the same—

This merry month of May.

Crack open hearts and heed the call,

Creep out from under winter’s pall!

Come dance around the sacred flame

That’s ever new and still the same—

This blessèd month of May

IMPORTANT NEWS

Greetings, Vermont Witch Camp community from the 2022 camp planning team.

As we prepare to be in person once again, there are a few things about camp 2022 that will be different due to the COVID 19 pandemic. This summer, the planning team has made the decision to reduce the overall number of campers, allowing for more space in the dining hall, cabins, and other gathering places. Campers can expect some last minute changes prior to and during the week of camp related to unforeseen circumstances.

VWC COVID 19 Policy and Information

VWC will require all attendees to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination during registration. Since children under the age of 5 cannot be vaccinated at this time we ask instead for a negative PCR test within 72 hours before the start of camp. If this policy changes, the community will be notified. If you have any questions about this policy please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. This summer, camp planners have made the decision to reduce the overall number of
campers to 100. Limiting attendance will allow for more spaciousness in the dining hall,
cabins, and other gathering spaces. Campers should also expect some last minute changes
prior to camp and during the week related to COVID-19.
We suggest that potential campers educate themselves about the status of COVID-19 in
Vermont and be informed before attending. We encourage groups who are in pods outside of
camp to share space together. One of the benefits of VWC is that most activities can take
place outdoors. VWC has plenty of tenting space available for those who may want more
privacy and distance.
Note: an at camp response protocol will be in place in the event that someone becomes sick
during the week. This is an evolving protocol and may change as we get closer to August. The website will be updated as the COVID-19 pandemic changes.

Vaccine Requirements
VWC will require all attendees to be fully vaccinated and to provide proof of vaccination.
Camp planners are defining fully vaccinated as two initial vaccines plus all additional
boosters you are eligible for. Proof of vaccination status is required during registration
and/or prior to arrival.

• Campers with medical exemptions to being vaccinated against COVID-19 are allowed
to attend with 1) a medical doctor's note and 2) a negative COVID-19 PCR and Rapid
Home test within 48-72 hours of the start of camp.
• Children under 5, who are currently not eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19,
can attend with a negative COVID-19 PCR and Rapid Home test within 48-72 hours
of the start of camp. If children under 5 become eligible for the vaccine before the
start of camp, the expectation is that they will be vaccinated to the fullest extent
possible before attending camp. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for
questions, etc.
Campers are asked to bring 2 COVID-19 Rapid home tests for each person attending, in the
event that they become ill during camp. https://www.covid.gov/tests Campers are also
asked to bring masks and any other COVID-19 supplies with them for the week, such as an
N95 or KN95 mask, hand sanitizer, and cleaning supplies. All campers are expected to be
conscious of their general welfare and maintain hygiene by washing hands and asking
before close contact, like holding hands or hugging.

More important than ever, do not come to camp if you are sick or if you have been exposed to COVID 19 within a week before VWC. If you develop symptoms while on site, you are expected to take a Rapid COVID-19 test and quarantine. There is limited quarantine space onsite, so please plan accordingly. We encourage all campers to have a plan in place in the event that they become sick. Inform us by email if you get sick within one week after the event.

Cancellation Policy for 2022
Due to the unexpected nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have adjusted our
cancellation policy to be as responsive as possible.
● If you cancel before July 1, your deposit will be refunded, less a $40 handling fee.
After July 1, deposits are non-refundable. Final payment must be received by Friday,
Ju1y 15th, 2022. After August 1st, refunds are conditional on filling your camp slot.
● If you cancel due to COVID-19 exposure or testing positive for COVID-19, within two
weeks of the start of camp (August 6th - 19th), you will receive a refund less your
deposit. A positive COVID-19 test is requested.
● If you feel sick/have symptoms/or test positive for COVID-19 at camp you will be
expected to test for COVID-19 using one of your rapid tests. If you test positive you
will be asked to leave. We are unable to refund registration costs for campers who
leave during the week as VWC is responsible for host fees for all campers on site at
the start of camp.
We hope that with commonsense protocols and a community emphasis on COVID-19 safer
practices, we can have a week of in-person, Myth, Magic, and Mystery together. Blessed Be.
